Karen and Bud Christopher were married on October 29, 1954 at the Harbert Community Church by Reverend Nelson. It was a relatively small wedding and the reception was held in the church basement. Many relatives attended the wedding and are on the video below. The first five months they were married they lived in the Cottage at Bethany Beach owned by Warren, Wally, Herb and Marion Christopher. In the spring of 1955, they moved into a small one-room house on Warren and Wally's farm. Karen and Bud had five children from July 1955 to August 1961. Bud had added a bathroom and made some minor upgrades but the house was just too small for seven people so they moved to St. Joseph in November 1963. This move allowed Bud to be closer to his work at Auto Specialties. They lived together at their 1010 Broad Street home raising their five children until Bud moved out in 1973. They were divorced on May 18, 1978.

Although their marriage did not last a lifetime, they shared many good and bad times together. This page is dedicated to the good times they spent together with their family.
