Knut August Söderling was born in Lilla Malma, Malmköping, Södermanland, Sweden on October 18, 1886 to Gustav Adolf Söderling and Inga Maria Östman.
Knut was a fine carpenter, he built extensions on to Warren's home in Sawyer, he also built the playhouse. Knut worked on the "Manhattan Project" creating the atomic bomb.
