Content Standards

NOTE: There is a movement afoot to create a "common core" set of standards for the social studies. These standards have already been created and adopted for ELA and math but have run into a snag for social studies. When and if these standards are created we will align them to the textbook. If you have questions about your state standards and our textbook please email us as we have the documentation for states beyond Michigan.

The Michigan Board of Education approved the Michigan High School and Grade Level Content Expectations on Oct. 1, 2007.  The Content Expectations for high school economics are based on the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) content expectations. Click here for NCEE and FTE standards.

High School Economics not only covers all the content expectations for economics, we had already included TWO chapters on personal finance before the release of the Michigan Content Expectations for economics. Those two chapters have been met with RAVE REVIEWS!  We have also increased the emphasis on the international and global economics COVERED IN THE NAEP AND MICHIGAN STANDARDS.
